On this tour a visit is made to the San Kampaeng district, heart of the silk and cotton home industries, to witness the fascinating process of making and weaving these popular fabrics. Then we continue to Bor Sarng, the umbrella village, where the delicate Thai paper umbrellas are produced and hand painted. Last but not least, stops are made to observe the intricacies of lacquerware, silverware, and teakwood furniture. |
| Itinerary |
DAILY 8:00-12:00/13:00-17:00 -- Pick up from major hotels in Chiang Mai. Visit the famous silk and cotton weaving local industry, teakwood carving, silverware making, lacquare ware and celadon pottery kilns at Sankhampaeng district. Continue to visit Borsang umbrealla and parasol village, manufacture silk and cotton umbreallas and paper parasols which are subsequently hand painting in various animal and floral designs.
